Dr. ELAINE A. SHEHATA, M.D
Dr. Elaine is a devoted wife and mother whose journey in medicine is marked by a deep commitment to patient care, continuous learning, and community involvement. She began her medical career in Egypt, earning her medical degree from the University of Mansoura Faculty of Medicine. Following graduation, she completed her residency there, specializing in Transitional Intern Year, which laid a strong foundation for her clinical expertise.
Driven by a desire to expand her horizons, Dr. Elaine immigrated to the United States, where she further honed her skills through a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga. This transition underscores her resilience and determination to excel in diverse healthcare environments.
Throughout her career, Dr. Elaine has been actively involved in multiple research initiatives, contributing to advancements in her field. Her passion for medicine is complemented by her dedication to teaching, where she mentors and inspires the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Outside her professional life, Dr. Elaine is deeply committed to her faith and actively participates in her church community. She also enjoys swimming, running, and exercising, finding balance and joy in these activities. Dr. Shaker Kerollos is a renowned toxicologist and emergency medicine physician, known for his expertise in managing complex medical cases. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and later obtained his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham.
Dr. Kerollos completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and a fellowship in Medical Toxicology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. These experiences enhanced his skills in diagnosing and treating poisonings and overdoses.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Kerollos is a published researcher, contributing to advancements in toxicology and emergency medicine. He is committed to improving patient outcomes and medical education. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys running and traveling, reflecting his passion for health and exploration.

Dr. Adaku Njoku Animashaun MD
At New Dawn Wellness and Medical Center, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care for those on their mental health journey. With a background in obstetrics, gynecology, and psychiatry, I recognize the value of a holistic approach to well-being. Our clinic offers traditional therapies for emotional health while also exploring innovative solutions through clinical research.
My career began under a US Air Force ROTC scholarship at the University of South Carolina, followed by medical training at the University of Illinois. After military service and a residency at Cook County Hospital in OBGYN, I transitioned to psychiatry at Emory University, inspired by a passion for helping others achieve mental well-being. My experiences as a wife and mother have further enriched my understanding of health's complexities.
At New Dawn, we strive to create a safe, judgment-free environment for healing. Whether dealing with stress, anxiety, insomnia, or more complex challenges, we offer a variety of therapeutic options, aiming for long-term well-being through personalized care.

Humzah Syed
Humzah is a dedicated and ambitious pharmacist whose passion for patient care and excellence in clinical practice defines his professional journey. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Bioscience from Farmingdale State College and went on to obtain his **Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)** degree from the University of Saint Joseph School of Pharmacy.
With a commitment to optimizing healthcare outcomes, Humzah specializes in medication reconciliation, medication therapy management, and promoting medication adherence. His exceptional clinical judgment, combined with a compassionate approach, ensures that each patient receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs.
Humzah’s strong work ethic, attention to detail, and productivity are matched by his dedication to educating and counseling patients. He is known for his excellent communication skills and his ability to provide unparalleled customer service. As a trusted resource for drug therapy and prescription drug plans, he collaborates effectively with medical teams to enhance patient care.

Marthina Edward's
I am excited about the opportunity to join a rapidly growing organization as a Registered Nurse and Licensed Surgical First Assistant (RNFA). My healthcare career has been diverse and fulfilling, providing me with extensive experience in labor and delivery, surgical assistance, and home health care.
I began my journey at Stewards Health, known as St. Joseph Medical Center, where I worked in the labor and delivery department. Subsequently, I joined HCA West as a surgical technologist/assistant in labor and delivery. These roles honed my skills in supporting obstetric surgeries and patient care. Currently, I serve as a Clinical Nurse, collaborating with various groups of doctors and surgeons across multiple facilities as a licensed surgical technologist/assistant.
From September 2022 to June 2023, I worked in an OB-GYN clinic, further deepening my expertise in women’s health. In January 2022, I expanded my scope by joining a home health group, ABL/Nitomek Home Health, to address nursing shortages. My responsibilities included PICC line dressing changes, wound care, and infusion therapy. This role allowed me to care for patients post-discharge, fostering my passion for guiding them through the healing process. In the operating room, I bring a comprehensive skill set and dedication to excellence. I am well-versed in OB-GYN, plastic, general, and orthopedic surgeries. My top priorities include punctuality, patient engagement, and thorough preparation. I ensure all instruments and equipment are available, anticipate patient positioning needs, and assist surgeons effectively, including suturing under supervision.
What sets me apart is not just my technical expertise but also my strong interpersonal skills. I am a hardworking, dependable team player who values building trust with patients and colleagues alike. My passion for healthcare began in labor and delivery, and that passion remains steadfast. My experiences in both the operating room and home health have deepened my commitment to holistic patient care.
I am eager to return to my roots in labor and delivery by joining the OB-GYN family. I am confident that my skills, dedication, and patient-centered approach make me an excellent candidate for this opportunity.

Moses Ukazu B.sc Finance, B.sc Biology, PharmD
Moses is a devoted father and husband whose professional path embodies resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to personal growth. Born and raised in Nigeria, he began his academic career at Lagos State University, focusing on banking and finance. His early work in finance sharpened his analytical and management skills, which he later applied to the healthcare sector.
In 2008, Moses immigrated to the United States to pursue broader opportunities. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Bloomfield College in New Jersey, which fueled his interest in clinical research and healthcare innovation. His passion for advancing medical science led him to the University of Saint Joseph School of Pharmacy in Connecticut, where he deepened his expertise in pharmaceutical sciences and healthcare management.
Moses gained valuable hands-on experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC), where he excelled in managing clinical trials and navigating the logistical, regulatory, and data management challenges of research. Inspired by his experiences, Moses founded his clinical research site in Houston, Texas, in 2024. His site has been instrumental in conducting trials across various therapeutic areas, bridging the gap between patients and cutting-edge treatments. Moses’s entrepreneurial spirit, combined with his diverse background in finance and biology, positions him as a leader in clinical research, contributing to advancements in healthcare solutions.

Harini Kanamarlapudi:
Harini Kanamarlapudi: She is a dedicated undergraduate student at the University of Houston, pursuing an Honors degree in Biomedical Sciences. With a strong academic background and a passion for medicine, she actively participates in both clinical and research experiences. As a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Harini currently works part time as a medical assistant at a plastic surgery clinic.
Her research experience spans multiple labs, including Tranquil Clinical Research, where she contributed to clinical trials, the GENESIS lab, which focuses on neurobehavioral systems, and the SEN lab, which explores drug development.
Harini now seeks to apply the skills she has gained in these roles to her work at New Dawn Wellness and Medical Center.
Ultimately, she aspires to specialize in orthopedic surgery and pursue a career in sports medicine.

Dr. Adanna Ukazu is the founder and CEO of New Dawn Medical Center. A compassionate physician and dedicated mother, Dr. Ukazu’s career is distinguished by academic excellence and an unwavering commitment to patient care. She began her academic journey at Lehman College in the Bronx, NY, graduating with distinction. She then attended the esteemed Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she cultivated a strong passion for women’s health.
Dr. Ukazu completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where she gained invaluable experience managing complex cases and championing patient advocacy. Driven by a vision for holistic care, she pursued a fellowship in Addiction Medicine at Rutgers University in Newark, NJ, honing her expertise in treating substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Outside of her medical career, Dr. Ukazu finds joy in gardening and traveling—activities that bring her both relaxation and inspiration. Her dedication to continuous learning and patient advocacy reflects her commitment to enhancing lives, earning her a well-deserved reputation as a leader in her field.

Dr. Kunal Amin
Dr. Amin completed an extensive three-year foot and ankle surgical residency program at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ, and was appointed chief surgical resident. During that time, Dr. Amin was given an award for outstanding excellence displayed by a resident in the Orthopedic Department for his specialty. Prior to residency, he received his medical degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and his undergraduate degree from the University of the Sciences of Philadelphia.
Dr. Amin evaluates and treats the entire spectrum of foot and ankle conditions, including warts, ingrown, sprains, fractures, joint disorders, sports injuries, deformity correction, diabetic limb salvage, and wound care. He treats patients of all ages and activity levels with personalized, compassionate, and superior care, consistently supported by the latest technology and evidence-based medicine. He has expertise in managing conditions with conservative care and only uses surgical intervention when appropriate. Dr. Amin believes in treating his patients with the best care possible and with the least invasiveness possible. His treatment protocol includes educating his patients to help them not only understand the root of their complaints but also the best solution for their lifestyle. Dr. Amin also loves to teach and guide podiatry residents and students and has been doing so since he was in medical school. He believes strongly in helping the next generation flourish in the field. Also, he has gone on multiple international medical mission trips to serve the underprivileged and wishes to continue pursuing this passion.
